Our Approach to Community Development

In penetrating a community where we have intention to work in, we employ the parameters below:

  1. Being focused on the most vulnerable: – We reach children, women, youth and the disabled who are economically and socially outside the reach of mainstream services and support.
  2. We involve the local community: – We are rooted in the community and operate with its input, involvement, investment and embracing it as integral part of our success.
  3. Being effective in what we do:-. We demonstrate sustained, meaningful improvement in the lives of the marginalized groups we serve.
  4. Empowerment: – We engage the target groups as active participants in their own growth and development rather than as passive recipient of our services and support.
  5. Being innovative and creative in our activities: -. We tackle problems that emerge in new ways demonstrating innovation and creativity in our strategies and approaches.
  6. Having potential for sustainability: – We enhance community investments by engaging locals in income projects and use of other creative measures.
