Our Approach to Community Development
In penetrating a community where we have intention to work in, we employ the parameters below:
- Being focused on the most vulnerable: – We reach children, women, youth and the disabled who are economically and socially outside the reach of mainstream services and support.
- We involve the local community: – We are rooted in the community and operate with its inÂput, involvement, investment and embracing it as integral part of our success.
- Being effective in what we do:-. We demonstrate sustained, meaningful improvement in the lives of the marginalized groups we serve.
- Empowerment: – We engage the target groups as active participants in their own growth and development rather than as passive recipient of our services and support.
- Being innovative and creative in our activities: -. We tackle problems that emerge in new ways demonstrating innovation and creativity in our strategies and approaches.
- Having potential for sustainability: – We enhance community investments by engaging locals in income projects and use of other creative measures.
